Ukraine Boosts Coal Production by 10 Percent

Over the period of nine months ended September 30, 2011, Ukraine has produced almost 61 million tons of coal, which is a 9,6 percent increase compared to the similar period last year. The more than 5 million tons increase in coal production has been a part of the measures Ukraine introduces to build its energy independence.

Ukraine coal output rises 10 % over 8 months

Over January-August 2011, coal out put rose to 54,057,000 t in Ukraine, from 49,225,000 t in the same period of 2010, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.
