Ukraine plans to export AN-148 and AN-158 to UAE

Global climate change could make it more profitable for investors to put their money into Ukraine’s agricultural sector, Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk said during a meeting of the Domestic and Foreign Investors’ Council. Moreover, he said, investment volumes are expected to rise if the Association Agreement with the European Union is signed. Specifically, incoming capital will be used to develop the agricultural market, upgrade irrigation systems, expand the production of biofuel, manufacture farm machinery, expand animal husbandry and expand the food processing industry, the Minister said.

MinEcon sets priorities to develop aviation industry

Ukraine’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has started developing a National Targeted Technological Aircraft Construction Program for 2014-2020. The program is expected to help the domestic aviation industry to reach break-even levels of production, revitalize the batch production of planes, and expand the manufacturing of helicopters. The Government plans to allocate US $15.9bn of the US $37bn needed for this program.
