Ukraine to attract Qatar capital for economic development

Ukraine is in favor of attracting capital investment from Qatar in order to expand its economy, according to a statement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs press officer Vasyl Kyrylych at a recent briefing.

Mr. Kyrylych stated that political consultations would take place March 5 in Qatar between the Foreign Ministries of both countries at the Deputy Foreign Minister level. During this meeting, the two sides intend to discuss the attraction of potential capital investment from Qatar.

"This is yet another step on the part of the Foreign Ministry to find ways of attracting international financial resources to ease the financial and economic crisis," said Mr. Kyrylych.

The MFA press officer also announced that the twos ides would discuss the establishment of bilateral cooperation in education during this visit, specifically the absence of student exchange programs between the two countries.

Ukraine turned to more than 14 countries in search of credit to fight the financial and economic crisis.
