Ukraine And Bahrain Intend To Enhance Economic Cooperation

Ukraine and Bahrain intend to enhance trade and economic cooperation.

The statement was made by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

On January 30, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Yurii Kostenko met with the Minister of Industry and Commerce Hasan Fakhro during a visit to Bahrain.

In course of the talks, the sides marked the positive dynamics of development of the trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Bahrain in many directions, and underlined the power of Ukraine’s productive capacity in the sectors of metallurgy and the production of different construction goods.

The sides focused special attention on the importance of extending the contractual and legal base for bilateral relations in the trade and economy sector.

The sides also agreed to consider the possibility of organization of a number of bilateral meetings, business forums, and conferences in Manama (Bahrain) in 2008 with participation of representatives of the Trade and Industry Chamber of Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine, leading national companies, organizations and enterprises.

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Bahrain agreed on cooperation.
