April 24, 2008
Kuwaiti companies are interested in investing into Ukraine's oil-refining and oil-extracting sectors.
This was announced by the Fuel and Energy Ministry press service.
Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Ukraine Hamud Usef Ar-Rowdani discussed the investment prospects during a meeting on April 23.
Ar-Rowdani said Kuwaiti companies are ready to invest in the Ukrainian oil industry and offered support to Ukrainian companies to engage them in international investment projects in the oil-extraction sector.
In his turn, Prodan said Ukraine is open to investment influx in the energy industry and is ready to consider possible investment projects.
As it was reported earlier, at present, Kuwait Energy Company K.S.C.C. jointly with Ukrhazvydobuvannia are developing the Pivnichno-Yablunivska, Bilousivko-Chornukinska and Dubrovska hydrocarbon areas in Ukraine (Poltava region).
