Ukraine And Saudi Arabia Discuss Cooperation Prospects

A Ukrainian governmental delegation has held discussions with the leadership of Saudi Arabia concerning the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the economic and technical-scientific sectors.

As UNIAN has reported, the Head of the Ukrainian delegation, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, told journalists that the results of the negotiations in Riyadh will give “a new boost for cooperation between the two countries.”

According to Turchynov, the issues discussed during the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade-Economic and Technical-Scientific Cooperation, which was set up between the two states, included, in particular, creation of joint enterprises and export of high technologies and engineering products.

The results of the negotiations also allow to talk about the possibility of opening a Riyadh’s embassy in Kyiv, believes the First Vice Premier.

“The visit will bring the possibility to open an Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kyiv in prospect,” he said.
