AvtoKrAZ Supplies Vehicles to Saudi Arabia for the First Time

AvtoKrAZ holding company (Kremenchuk, Poltava region), Ukraine’s only manufacturer of heavy haulers, has supplied its vehicles to Saudi Arabia for the first time, the journalists learned from the holding’s Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Activity and Sales Ihor Fomenko.
I. Fomenko noted that the company was actively working for two years to enter the Saudi Arabian market.
He reminded that earlier AvtoKrAZ had signed a distribution agreement with Saudi Arabia’s largest automobile company – Abdullatif Alissa Automobile Co. that represents the interests of General Motors and ISUZU, according to which Abdullatif Alissa Automobile Co. will act as a representative of AvtoKrAZ in Saudi Arabia for ten years.
The holding’s press service specified that according to the agreement the first stage envisages holding of qualification tests of the KrAZ model line-up in the conditions of real operation at the Saudi Arabian national economy objects.
It is planned that the qualification tests will be completed by the end of the summer 2008. After that, the type and configuration of the vehicles will be determined and the supplies of the units will start. AvtoKrAZ intends to furnish the vehicles, which will be supplied to Saudi Arabia, with the automatic equipment necessary for the operation in the local environmental conditions.
