Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and Qatar agree mechanisms for developing bilateral cooperation

During political consultations, the Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and Qatar agreed to mechanisms for developing bilateral cooperation in investment, oil and gas, construction and other spheres, said MFA Press Officer Vasyl Kyrylych at a March 10 briefing.
Mr. Kyrylych announced that the external affairs agencies of Ukraine and Qatar had decided on a format for cooperation in order to develop joint projects in the oil and gas sector.
In addition, a timeframe has been set for the State Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Qatar to visit Ukraine, which will likely be in May or June of this year.
During these political consultations, Qatar’s and Ukraine’s MFAs signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two agencies. They also agreed to an internship program for Qatari diplomats at the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.
