10 Airplanes Under Construction by Ukraine’s Antonov

Antonov State Company (Kyiv) is manufacturing 10 aircraft at the moment, as the company has 18 standing orders already.

“We have orders for three AN-148 for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, ten AN-178 for Azerbaijani Silk Way Airlines, and five airplanes – four AN-148 and one AN-178 – for Iraq,” said Antonov’s spokesperson. Besides, the company is working on manufacturing demonstrational AN-132D as part of the contract with Saudi Arabian company scheduled to be showcased in late 2016.

Antonov also has preliminary agreements to build over 70 AN-148, AN-158, AN-178 and AN-132 planes to airlines from the UAE, Saudi Arabia and China.
