Ukraine Uses Up Six Export Quotas in the First Quarter

May 6, 2017
Summarizing the results of the first quarter in 2017, Ukraine fully used up six of its annual EU tax-free exporting quotas for such products as honey, sugar, wholegrain cereals and flour, processed tomatoes, grape and apple juice and corn, reported the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club press service.

As of early April, semi-annual tax-free exports quota for butter and second-quarter quota for poultry meat were fully depleted as well. Quota for wheat exports is fulfilled by 86%, while quota for malt and wheat gluten is exhausted by 74 percent, maintaining the same pace as during the previous year.
In the meantime, the EU countries used up their tax-free export quota to Ukraine only in one product category - poultry and semi-processed foods.
