Ukrainian Exporters Receive Access to $150 Million Investments

July 3, 2017
Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) and European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) reported that they had invested USD 30 million in Emerging Europe Growth Fund III, LP (EEGF III). The total size of the fund is USD 150 million.

Horizon Capital launched the EEGF III in order to invest in export-oriented IT, consumer goods, food and agriculture companies in Ukraine and Moldova.

“Ukraine and Moldova have demonstrated impressive export growth of 29 percent and 27 percent, respectively, in the first quarter of 2017, which is expected to provide attractive investment opportunities for this new fund,” says Jaroslawa Johnson, WNISEF President and Chief Executive Officer.

EEGF III is to invest in minority shares. Also, it may engage in seed-funding, full reacquisition or privatization.
