Qatar Claims Interest to Invest in Ukrainian Ports

Ukraine looks forward to cooperating with Qatar in the field of port infrastructure development, as well as in establishing direct air communication between the states.

Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, and Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, the Minister of Transport of Qatar, discussed the collaboration between the two countriesduring the meeting in Geneva at the 79th Annual Session of the Inland Transport Committee (ITC) of the European Economic Commission of the United Nations Organization, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

The parties have agreed to arrange an official visit of the Chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority to Ukraine in March to establish cooperation between the agencies of the two countries. Additionally, the parties agreed upon a visit of representatives of Qatar port sector to Ukraine for establish business ties.

The Minister of Transport of Qatar also invited the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine to visit Qatar.
